Yeh so it's like I thought, 16k instead of 10k, quite a big difference there! It does seem as tho the X9 is the odd one out, with all other Cowons being capped at 16,000.

I think the important thing to remember with Cowons is it's well worth buying the larger internal capacity version of the player (so like choose 32gb internal and not 4gb etc), if you want to cram as much music onto the device as possible. Buying 4gb and using a 128gb card might not equal as many tunes as using a 64gb card with a 32gb version of the same DAP etc.

FWIW I have near maxed out my 32gb card and im kicking around the 3200 files (playing a mix between 192-320kbps MP3 files).

If Cowon released a 64gb version of the player that might be really important because with that kind of bit rate you could actually fill up that internal mem to it's maximum potential of around 8000 files, whereas currently with 32gb internal mem yer not really going to come close to 8000 audio files.

In reality 16,000 files is probably ample for a lot of people, I know my entire collection sits around 12,000. Yes I know it's a bummer but if people are playing FLAC as well, gb storage is prolly more of an issue than file limits.
