Well I've decided to buy some speakers for my computer but don't really know anything about speakers. Keep the budget under $100. They well be used mostly for music and movies. Thanks

This will probably be better than any of the Logitech/similar stuff, but if you can stretch it to $150 this would be MUCH better. This is the set I use and while they aren't hifi, they are quite musical and don't sound bad at all. I can say for sure that they blow away the Logitechs in their class (Z2300). Alternately, if you don't care about bass much, I think these plus this would be a very nice setup. Again, not much for bass (you could add a sub later if you wanted), but this will be far more musical than anything 'multimedia'. These may also be worth some consideration, but I have no experience with those so you're kind of on your own.

The 1st speakers I have is Logitech is X-540 ($100 at Best Buy rightnow) . They are really good for gaming, maybe not for music but acceptable quality. Then I bought a new Logitech Z-5500 ($300 from NewEgg). They are fantastic and superb.

So for your needed, I recommend the X-540 for a budget speakers with decent sound quality.

Edit: I did buy a Creative X-Fi Titanium to pair with my Z-5500, so I mean the sound quality it not only depended on the speakers, but also the sound card.

No, a speaker that does music well usually won't have any trouble with movies and games. Music is by far the hardest of the three to reproduce, so most PC speakers are geared towards games because that's just cheaper to do. Unfortunately it makes nearly everything on the market crap.

Subwoofers that are tailored for game use always have some kind of uncontrolled boomy sound to them, and not to mention the crossover is way to high on systems like this.
