Default Cowon X9 Player doesn't start up even after reset

I have recently bought the Cowon X9 player from Japan. It was working until a virus went in through windows 7. Then i have accidentally formatted the player (deleted all the files) from Linux. Now player isn't starting up and working. Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. The problem is my PC doesn't recognize the player. Please advice which driver needs to be installed prior to proceed with the firmware installation?

Default no driver is necessary

No driver is necessary, the player is a removable disk or MTP,

1. copy the firmware file in the root folder,
2. eject safely,
3. restart the player,

With what kind of filesystem the player was formatted (FAT, FAT32,???)?

- Sorry for my english, i come from germany

Hi,

I have installed the firmware and started the device. It shows a green screen and nothing comes up. I am yet to format the device with SD formatter, now the player is not detected by the PC. It looks like battery has drained. I am charging it now, hopefully it will fine after format and install the firmware.
