Default Zen Vision M Recovery Mode - Cure For What Ails

I wanted to give a big thank you for these instructions:

Not too long ago I had put in a new 64GB CF card as the hard drive. Last evening I tried to add some files to my Zen Vision M. I found that I could not add files to the Zen - I got an error that the player was full, which was bogus as it showed over 15 GB free. I tried everything but I was stumped. This morning I thought about getting the Zen to go into the "rebuilding" mode thinking perhaps that somehow the CF card needed cleanup of some sort. Hitting the reset button alone doesn't do it. However, I found the above link and managed to get into the recovery mode and performed a cleanup. Lo and behold, that not only fixed the problem of not being able to transfer files, but also fixed the annoying occasional "stutter" at the beginning of a song.

The moral of the story appears to be that doing a "cleanup" once in a while can be a very good thing.
