Default Your U5 won't turn on?

The battery in my U5 mp3 player is close to dead.

So I have to hold the Power button literally 2 or 3 minutes to get it to turn on. Try that.

Also my selection wheel (up, down, left and right) started acting crazy.
I took the U5 apart with a free service manual I got from the Internet.
There was mounds of dust under that wheel on top of the circuit board. I removed all the dust and now, just "Up" doesn't consistently work (sometimes it goes "Down" instead).

Hope this helps.
