Help Clip Playlists Don't Show Up In Ford Focus Sync System

My Sansa Clip playlists show up & play as they should on the player itself, but when plugged into our 2012 Ford Focus via USB, the car's Sync system shows "No Playlists Found".

All MP3s play fine under "All Music" (showing Artist & Title) on the Ford's system, there just aren't any playlists available. I use Windows Media Player 11 in XP for syncing.

...Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried a ford focus related forum?

I'd suspect you might have a better chance of finding some people there that have already dealt with playlists on a variety of devices. There's no shortage of sync questions on the ford forums that I've seen.

By experimenting, I was finally able to solve this problem via a setting on the player:
On the Sansa Clip, go to Menu > Settings > USB. Change setting from "Auto Detect" to "MTP".

Normal advice around here is not to use "Autodefect" (that's not a spelling typo). Glad you found a fix, and even happier that you reported back, in case somebody else encounters the problem.

Oh, and most of us won't use WMP either.
