Only way it would be any better is if you needed the equalizer or the BBE bass boost.

Indeed, simply changing one player for another won't give you any sound difference.

but you are familiar with this product soundmagic pl50 ? i thought it was not so bad, armature iem.... so iaudio i7 will not add deep sound space clarity etc ?
with sansa clip+ they are better than creative ep630 but i thought it will be much better.... |

I've seen a bunch of Head Fi posts about the Soundmagic PL50, so I'm somewhat familiar with them.
If memory serves me correctly, they have an impedance somewhere in the range of 55-60 ohms. I've heard several people say that you should stick with headphones between 16-32 ohms if you use a Clip+ or Fuze, so my guess is that your Clip+ simply can't put out enough juice to adequately drive your PL50s. You could either buy an amplifier or try something with a lower impedance. The Thinksound Rain headphones I use are 16 ohms and they sound absolutely fantastic. I got them for $58 shipped on Amazon. The head honcho at Thinksound is a really great guy and he'll bend over backwards to help you if you run into problems

The main sound difference comes from headphones, not player. I can't tell the difference between any of my players on the same phones.

Its all a matter of what you prefer. The Clip+ offers some of the cleanest sound you can get on an MP3 player, the Cowon offers good sound quality, with the added modability if you prefer a deeper bass

1cewolf, you need to add some comply foam tips to those rains. It's a difference between night and day. Oh, and I have ts02's. I'm probably going to buy some thinksound rain for my mum.
