The C2 is probably the least worst reasonably priced player with long battery life. It does seem like it is far from perfect though. There are no decent players with long battery life and a card slot for under $100. At least the price on the C2 is coming down. At $121 it does look more attractive than at $145. If the price gets down to $85, or if it gets down to $95 and they include a spare cable in the box, I might be tempted to buy one.

Cowon is doing poorly now. They lost around $10 million last year, and their stock price is down around 50% in the past year. It looks like their market cap is only around $18 million now, and their sales were only around $68 million last year.

Imo they need to come out with new products under $100, and to use a standard micro usb connector on their players.

That's OK, they won't have to worry about that much longer. N. Korea is putting the finishing touches on their nuclear warheads that they will test out on S. Korea. If things go as they plan, the US will be next . . . unless Iran beats them to it.

Bottom line? If you want a Cowon, better buy it now.
