Hello all!
I have gone the route of slightly higher range IEMs before now (hippo vb, some other expensive make) and both have broken on me. So I am reluctant to splash out this time round. I am after something to use with my android phone for running and general music listening (as my J3 now think it's battery is constantly on charge...aka broken) Are the sennheiser offerings still good? |

Just bought the riptidz this weekend off what I read on here and I have to say I'm quite impressed. I was using meelectronic m6's which I thought were awesome and these are waaay better. Not as bassy but everything else is so clear. Best 9 bucks I've spent in a while. The best part is I could get them at Walgreens right near my house.
Not as bassy as I would like but they sound so much clearer than anything I've heard. I haven't heard anything close to high end but I've heard quite a few in the 20-50 dollar range and these are great. I never like the way my wife's (but now mine haha) Sony s545 sounded compared to my Cowon D2 when using the m6. Listening now with the riptidz it may sound better than the cowon or at least as good. This is a good thing as I prefer the physical buttons on the walkman to the touch screen on the cowon.

Amazon has them in purple for $4.99 with free US shipping on orders over $25.
If you want something with more bass than the Riptidz, try the JVC HA-FX101. In green or purple it is $14.36 with free US shipping on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HA-FX101G-...words=HA-FX101 Last edited by JK98; 01-16-2013 at 03:59 PM. |

I didnt love the fx101. I will be returning them as soon as I find them. the she3590 was better in the bass department to me, and I am a bit of a basshead.

in my defense, the Meelec 161 is my primary IEM and I love them. I just carry the e10 for those days where I want a little extra bump and the philips is for working out so it needs that energy.
