new mp3 player advice

hi,

well, only days after asking on another thread here about a dock for my E464....it's vanished. i swear i put the thing in my pocket, got to work, nowt there. sickener. been all through the car/house/desk etc, got no damn idea where it could have gone.

but anyways - given that apparently that was an obsolete model, can anyone recommend me a new thing? i'm after
- good battery life (bought that cos it was advertised as about 50hr life)
- has a dock, preferably.
- doesn't use iTunes.
- not fussed about extras but video play etc would be a bonus.

cheaper the better too!

Finding a dock for a non-iPod is pretty tough. Get a wall-wart charger, and speakers. Will work with pretty much any player (in case you continue to lose your players).
