I haven't tested properly, but it drains quite fast, even with the radio. About 10% in just 1 hour.

I have 2 R0, and in both players I have no longer battery time/charging issues.
When i start benchmark the R0 was turned on for about 3 hrs or more, and playing for about 2 hrs. Volume -20, standard headphone (i think 32Ω).

After charging R0 over all night and listening to music for 1hr I had 92% battery left. I've just started battery bench volume -25. I'll let you know tomorrow

Would be interesting if you guys could compare now with the OF under similar conditions.

With a brand new device/battery and OF the R0 can reach 25hrs of playback time.
So 17hrs is not so good...

In all, batt lasted 9:50 h with volume at -20db.
I am going to repeat the test, since I suspect the charger calibration may not be optimal (it's been a long time since i depleted the battery). I'll post it again as soon as I have it. If the results are so bad, I will blame the battery and not RB.

Well, I left it charging for 6 hours, and a second benchmark rated the duration at 9:27 h, a tad shorter. And I still see the battery charged only 99%. It never reaches 100% (??). Today it was charging for 8 hours, still 99%. (There is some room for specific configurations of my playback and sound settings that may shorten battery life. But with so many features in RB, I am a little overwhelmed. I just set the volume at -20 dB)

I really do not mind this short battery time: I'm not a power-listener, and I can charge it back daily. I'm afraid I didn't take optimal care of the battery (some longish periods without using the R0, but not charging it periodically) and my R0 is not the best candidate to test your latest LightROMs (which really work great).

Still, I look forward to your updates!

Ok now i want to try an old build of RB (those where the developers said it last about 22 hours), but i don't know if i can find one of them.
Now i'll try to search in the old backups, then i'll let you know

P.S: Also my bench are done in a 2/3-years-used R0 (my second R0, for developement), so probably tha battery is not so healthy as a new one

I'm 101% sure that with my not-so-much modded firmware + rockbox (i.e. ModFirm 2.31) battery life is really 25 hrs or so, I cannot say more unfortunately
Things to see are mainly:
CPU usage _> can go very high when Filesystem becomes corrupt -> do a scandisk (chkdsk or fsck.vfat on linux)
Display settings -> display eats lot of energy
FM radio -> eats also a lot of energy

Ok, I did a scandisk, which was OK, and during battery test display was off all of the time. I looped playing a folder with low quality (64 mbps) WMA files, and radio was never on (but the FW is radio-ready).
I can tell you which of the playback and sound settings are on: equaliser, stereo with 90%, dithering on. Fade on stop/pause (and of course, repeat all during the loop). I guess the rest of features are of or default.

In order to get comparable results the battery benchmark must be done with:
- default settings (very important)
- default theme (more important)

otherwise we could get unwanted results and no meaningful data (to get the idea of what I say, try to compare directly 2 temperatures, one in °C and one in °F... )
But indeed your settings should be okay (I think rockbox won't use 532 mhz even with the most "expensive" features on)

I guess you need to explain more in detail to users what it is

I don't have ideas for the moment but if I get any I will share it.

Audio JIG -> Audio Dock Type 1:
Enable "line out" through microUSB

UART JIG:
Serial port through microUSB. Also compatible with UART Boot JIG and UART Cable.

Recovery JIG:
Like standard JIG, put R0 in recovery mode after reboot (flash cable needed).

Vannix, what are the advantages of this audio JIG over the audio-out-through-earphones-plug version?
