How to connect 3.6 media player to pc internet via usb.

Greetings,
im trying to get internet on my galaxy s 3.6 via usb, but I have no idea whether its possible or not or how to do it. Google research just showed me how to use usb tethering with galaxy s3, but the same options are not available on android 2.3.6. Do you have an idea how I can get Internet on that thing?

Do you not have WiFi to connect directly? Tethering usually goes the other way providing internet to a PC without internet

Hm okay, than I misunderstood tethering. My pc is connected to the router via LAN (Cable). And I have neither blue too, nor a wlan stick or whatever. The question is whether I need to buy a WLAN Router and a WLAN stick for my pc to receive the new signal or whether I can make an adhoc network from pc to the mp3-player. Do you know an alternative to a new router?

Just buy a wireless router put it in between your cable/dsl modem and your PC (desktop?), you can mantain a wired connection on the computer and will now have wireless INTERNET that your player and any other wireless device can connect to.

ah very good. Didnt know you can plug in a CAT-cable into a wireless router. I searched in amazon.com for a router and found one for ~20€. Thanks for help!!
