Are they also biodegradable? I had some old headphones I loved that were around 20 years old which started to degrade, and ended up in the trash! i hated to have to throw them out, but I couldn't see an easy way to salvage them.

Err, why was the link removed? Yes we can all just google them but seriously...

I have had a few sets of headphones that have started to degrade, but its mostly because the plastics combined with various oils and acids have sped up the process rather then the fact that they would have been "Eco" friendly :P

Anyhoo, this would have been great when those Beats were breaking on everyone, but now its a bit late because they can last as long as most other headphones.

I don't want to say. They were a major brand, and originally were priced at around $200. It wasn't just the earpads that degraded though, but the headband. All the rubber on it became a sticky mess. I had something similar happen to new high quality lightweight walking shoes with rubber soles. After around 10 years sitting in the box new, when I took them out to use them they were trash. The rubber soles kept sticking to the floor.
