I wonder if the music on my touch will sound more succulent, with brighter highs & more protuberant mids???
![]() I know a certain bunch of knuckleheads will claim this after the update,...dumbasses.

I do notice one thing I find different in the sq, the volume cap has been relaxed. I used to be able to max this iPod's volume with no pain - not any more. Strange,...or maybe I'm mistaken.

Regarding the YouTube app: as long as the search is better I don't care. I would try searching something on the old one and get hardly any accurate results.... go to the pc and search and BOOM, tons of accurate results.
Updated last night. Seems like battery life is a bit better than the 5.1.1 jailbreak. Aside from the obvious stuff such as some brushed up UI and iTunes/App Store tweaks I'm not seeing much difference (yet).

Going to be sticking with iOS5.whatever on my iPhone. Until iOS6 gets Jailbroken anyway I think
And until Apple can rival Google with their mapping data, I will stay put. It has something to do with the fact that every street here is streetviewed, and every road is listed accurately. And since Apple's mapping solution doesn't offer turn-by-turn navigation, I am getting a worse off product then before. What a downgrade.

After using iOS 6 for a little longer, it doesn't seem that different overall. The interface changes are nice, but not really important.
Battery life and performance is great (even Safari is faster). But there's nothing that really impresses me. What I think of most of the new features :

Ok I was wrong about battery life. I think it's just my battery so in this case I'm going back to 5.1.1 jailbreak.

My battery on average lasts 2 days (which is fine for me) but sometimes even less if I do more than just music.
It used to last longer when I first got my iTouch. I suspect though that it's just the battery, my device is two years old.

Been back at 5.1.1 jailbreak for a while now. I decided to downgrade after discovering some cool new features from friends who have jailbroken devices.
Found out there's a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6.0.1. Never used a tethered jailbreak before. If anyone's used a tethered jailbreak, is it really inconvenient? Or is it not so bad? BTW I may not upgrade at all. I won't be gaining anything really lol.

.For the jailbreakers here, anyone have good themes? Getting kind of bored of the default...and everything I find either costs money or doesn't work with iOS 5 .

Hmm, didn't I say 4G, NOT 5G? Me thinks someone has comprehension issues,...

iOS 6.1 was released today. Minor update with only bug fixes/improvements. But, a big update for the jailbreak community.
Hopefully there will be an untethered jailbreak released in a couple of days. I've restored to 6.1 from 5.1.1 untethered JB to prepare for the release.

I'm missing my jailbreak already so I'm attempting my first "tethered" jailbreak for 6.1 until untethered is released.

Even CNET has a guide, and it's damn simple: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-...ding-iphone-5/
I think I may do this later this week,...very nice indeed!!!

I just did it to my iPod....and yes, it is very simple
. But, sadly, I'm having problems. The Cydia servers are getting overloaded ATM and I keep getting an internal server error when I try to install any tweaks. So I'd say, you're probably better off if you wait a day or two before trying to install anything. BTW, at least the jailbreak works.

I'll wait till around Thursday or Friday night,...I need time to play with it after install. I've never bothered to jailbreak before - I'll need to get acquainted with my baby all over again!!!

I got an Android phone about a month ago or so and pulled out my touch the other day and boy does iOS seem antiquated now! I haven't updated to 6.1 but I'll probably still jailbreak it though. Did 6.1 bring anything new to the table?
