Default ZTE announces the V98 powered by Intel's next-generation processor

ZTE has announced a new Windows 8 tablet known as the V98. This 10.1-inch device is powered by one of Intelís brand-new Atom Z2760 processors (previously known under the code name Clover Trail), 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, an 8MP primary camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera. Itíll also weigh just 700 grams and have a thickness of 8.9mm.

Many of these new benefits are due to the Clover Trail processor, which is designed specifically for thin and light devices. The processor uses an ARM-like system-on-a-chip (SoC) architecture which combines a number of essential components onto a single, well, chip. As a result, you have full support for desktop applications without sacrificing battery life (an estimated three weeks on standby), security, and performance.

The ZTE V98 is expected to be released during the first quarter of 2013. WiFi will be included at a minimum, but itís likely to be compatible with LTE and UMTS cellular networks as well. Are you excited about Intel's new - and unfortunately named - processor?
