Does anybody know if the Samsung Tab 2 7 inch tablet has a radio function?
I have the Galaxy 4 which has a radio and I'm thinking of upgrading to the 7 inch model.

I own one -- no *FM* stereo radio function. I installed some of the radio apps just to make sure.

I have Tune In Radio in my Galaxy Tab 7 Plus and it works fine, so it must have a radio chip in it.

Tune In Radio (and other apps of its ilk) uses streamed data, not FM waves like traditional radio broadcasts. Thus no FM receiver needed.

Tune in radio is either wifi or 3G based. There is no FM radio built in,...

There are multiple (3 at least) models of the Tab 2 7" tablet. I have the WiFi GT-P3113 and it does not have a radio chip. I don't think that the other models do, but it may be worth some research.

BTW, what is a "Galaxy 4"? The Samsung Galaxy S4 does not come with a radio.

Perhaps you are using an app on the "Galaxy 4" that uses Wi-Fi or data to provide radio.

No, they don't have an FM radio tuner built in,...it would be posted all over the internet if one did.

I've assumed they meant the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0. Wifi. Those have an FM radio.
