Samsung Galaxy S III to receive Jelly Bean before Halloween
Samsung has announced that the popular Galaxy S III smartphone will be eligible for an upgrade to Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” before Halloween. Just yesterday, the South Korean manufacturer confirmed that the device has surpassed 20 million units sold worldwide, up from 10 million units in July.
While the company isn’t ready to talk specifics about the update timing for various networks around the world, it did confirm to CNET UK that "the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system will be available on the Galaxy S III from October." The update will also come preinstalled on 4G LTE versions of the Galaxy S III, like the one coming to the Everything Everywhere (EE) network in the UK.
Are you excited about getting Jelly Bean before Halloween, or are you satisfied with Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich?”
