Good Decent Headphones for Video?

I have some decent headphones for music but i need something for watching tv/movies. Wired is fine. Not looking to spend more than $40. Any suggestions?

i use my meelctronic m6 mostly for music which i'm happy with. I was using my turtle beach x11 for gaming/tv/movies. If anyone has something similar to that to replace it please let me know. doesn't have to be gaming specific

I'd take a look at the JVC HARX700. Really comfortable for long periods of time and tons of bass for the action scenes. The Sony MDR XB300 also work well when I'm watching video.

Both have a boomy bass that isn't my choice for most music so I don't use them much for that. Not bad, just not what I like for music. They have the clarity I need for dialog but they really light up when the action starts.

i had the xb500 before when i broke the tip on the headphone cable. think i will give the 300 a shot.

If you still have the broken XB500 you may want to look into repairing the headphone plug. http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=12878

The tools and parts are fairly inexpensive and pay for themselves the first time you repair, instead of replacing a decent set of headphones. It looks more challenging than what it is if you're careful and work clean.

You could contact Syndrome http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=69634 if you don't want to do it as a DIY project. I haven't dealt with him but he did a job for TheDarkSide recently. I'd expect we'll be seeing feedback on that soon.

well i looked into that a long time ago. apparently it's almost impossible to solder than kind of cable.

Don't "repair" the cable, replace it.

hmm he wants $45 for repair and those headphones cost $52 new on amazon. not sure it's worth it.
