Plants vs. Zombies 2 to gnaw its way into your garden next spring

PopCap games has announced that Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be released during the “first half of 2013.” For such a popular game, it’s surprising that, by the time this game comes to market, it will have been just over four years since the release of the original title on PC.

EA, which acquired PopCap just over a year ago, was hesitant to reveal any details other than the game’s name. The company did, however, promise that it will include “a bevy of new features, settings, and situations.” Even the launch platforms are under wraps, although I’d expect it to launch day-and-date on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, especially since Nokia has developed a close relationship with EA.
