If you order from Amazon, and there's an issue with the product, they will ship it back to them for free and give you the choice of a refund or exchange. Might help your situation. Bummer to hear those haven't worked out for you yet!

I did get a replacement and they work fine. They are a bit bassy compared to any of the other phones I have besides maybe the hd650's. They are pretty pleasant with a bit of a treble push and loudness curve on eq.

wearing gym pants around the house today while washing a load of clothes made me really miss my clip zip which was stolen. kind of broke and trying to save money so i improvised with what i had. i cut down an old nametag from work, punched a hole in it and attached a keychain. then i snapped the case on it with the nametag inside. got both an nfl necklace thing and carbiner attached to it.

They're a little bass-heavy out of the box, but don't sound muffled either...plenty of detail....and they are easily powered by my Clip Zip or my volume-capped UK-sourced Sony. They're definitely a step up from the Senn PX90, Koss KTXPro1, and JVC HA-S600 that I own. In fact, they're a contender for best of my collection with the Audio Technicas that I have.

My Grados are DOA (need a new cable) but I know for damn sure they don't have the bass these things have.

I'm certainly considering it.

I think sending them in to Grado would only cost me something like $25 plus shipping to get it done,IIRC, but that would give me the same big unwieldy cable as I've had, and I really don't want that again....lol. I may wait until tax time to get them done, unless work picks up....not like I don't have other headphones to use between now and then.
