Default Replacement for Cowon D2+ DAB

I'm scouring the market for a replacement for my Cowon D2+ DAB but to be honest despite the fact the D2+ is so old I'm finding it difficult to find a player that matches up to it. Can anybody make a recommendation based roughly on the criteria below please?
  • I'm in the UK
  • 8-32GB capacity with SD or microSD expansion
  • Mainly audio use with some video
  • To be used when travelling and working
  • 50 hrs + audio and 10+ hours video playback battery life
  • Sound quality to rival D2
  • 3-4 inch touchscreen (preferably) display
  • DAB radio
  • Budget is not an issue for the right product
  • UI is not really an issue - D2 isn't the most user friendly or intuitive but I get along with it fine.
  • Drag and drop transfer from PC rather than proprietary software
  • File format support doesn't need to be extensive, just mp3, windows media etc.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to ABi

DAB radio broadcasts are only used in a few places so most makers don't support it on players that are meant for widespread distribution. The last player I remember that had DAB included was the iRiver S100. I'd start my search there. I've never even laid my eyes on one so I can't say anything about it's quality. The reviews I've seen are all over the place as to it's qualities so I'd shop carefully.

If DAB weren't a concern I'd say look at the Cowon J3. No DAB support but it has all the other features you list.

I got iriver s100 and i can recommend it. It's nice player with good screen (not touch one, tactile buttons) and very good sound quality (some of people here will tell you that iriver sux atm but they don't). It has very nice intuitive UI. Here also comes the worst thing about the player. It lags a bit when you enter artist and it loads all folder pictures at once. But it's not bad unless you load album pictures like 2000x2000 pixels....
Drag&drop is there too, altough if you like you can use iriver plus software to load music.
Play time...iriver tells you that it is 42h but it's less, propably about 30-35hrs, and much less if you change songs frequently etc (so when you use screen).

Iriver B30 should be nice too altough I never held it so I can't tell much about it...
