Leaked documents reveal Sony’s upcoming $450 Xperia tablet
Sony wants you to experience its next generation devices this fall with the Xperia tablet, according to a set of leaked internal slides. The device, which has a thin, aluminum, splash proof, “folded magazine” design, will reportedly be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and include a 6,000mAh battery (for about ten hours of surfing the internet) and support for 3G networks. It will also run an as-yet undetermined version of Android – at least “Ice Cream Sandwhich,” if not something newer like “Jelly Bean” – and include a cover which doubles as a keyboard and a kickstand, not unlike the Surface.
The Sony Xperia tablet will come in three versions, each with more internal memory than the last: 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. While exact specs and availability are still under wraps, it will supposedly go for $450, $550, and $650, respectively.
Does this tablet sound at all interesting?
