Default The wait is finally over—Verizon to get the Galaxy S III on July 10!

If there’s one area of excellence among mobile carriers, it’s their ability to string us along. We’ve been getting the usual “coming weeks” pep-talks from Verizon for awhile now regarding the Galaxy S III’s impending release, with no hard facts to back it up. But all that changes now! We finally have a firm date—July 10—also known as next Tuesday.

The much-anticipated superphone will be carrying the 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a whopping 2GB of RAM, Verizon 4G LTE, and 16GB of internal storage. Supply issues currently plaguing Samsung—and in particular the US Galaxy S III—are likely to blame for the 32GB variant only being available online. If you’re dedicated to getting one in-store, you’ll have to continue to wait through the “coming weeks.” Your color choices are white or pebble blue, both of which will be available immediately with no price difference between them.

Pricing is set at $199—on-contract, of course—for the 16GB variant, but you can add another 16GB for just $50 more—plus shipping and handling!—if you don’t mind the wait. There’s nothing to be said about this phone that hasn’t already been said twice. The only reason not to rush out and stand in line on July 10 is Samsung’s supply problems.

If you think you can manage initial set-up and activation yourself, this is one phone you should seriously consider buying online. The AT&T variant started shipping two weeks ago, with in-store purchases only made available today. Anybody else been waiting—perhaps not-so-patiently—for the Verizon version to come out? Any AT&T, Sprint, etc. users who already have it and want to rant or rave?

Its kind of surprising how Samsung have managed to keep the GS3 looking the same on all carriers, not even an "Exclusive color" has been made.
