I'll take a picture of the tire I use. The reps and speed come over time today I opted for more of a conditioning legs workout, using my bench to do things too difficult for me to describe right now. Got a good forty minute burn, then a leisurely half hour bike ride to loosen up. Tomorrow, hiking through Starved Rock State Park. Should have saved legs for later lol

Saturday in the park, various pullups, pushups, dips, hanging leg raises, etc. Sunday was a 12hr hard core work day - so Monday will be a light dumbbell day.

Good weekend overall,...

Was packing Symon concrete forms all weekend..

I hear that. About 16,17 years ago, I spent a winter as an unskilled laborer at the local amusement park. All the construction had to be done off-season, of course, and given the choice of do that or go on unenjoyment, I chose the work. I never slept so well as I did that winter.....especially the two months in the spring they pawned me off on the mason. My back hurts just thinking about those last couple months....then again, I actually had some muscles then.

Great way to get the muscleup in the beginning. I'm getting the swing down on parallel bars, now I'm going to practice it on the pullup bar. Then kipping into a muscleup comes next. I'm ALMOST there. When I do get it I may post a 10 rep video to brag (to myself,...) that I finally made it!!!

Muscleups - the hardest exercise I've ever tried to do,...next to PISTOLS!!!

I'm doing them by holding onto the parallel bars,...

Triathlon. Standard Olympic race distances.

Quote:
1.5 km swimming
40 km bike
10 km run
Swim was in an outside pool and the run was in the rain. +13 C outside temp. Pool was heated. The triathlon broke me, and my bike, after 20km we had to make a detour to fix a flat tire. Next week we up the difficulty and knock off the next difficulty level.

I WILL tick off the ironman before I die. Or well I'd like to anyway.

TDS I've put off getting the muscle up. I am working on improving my general fitness level first and then I can worry about getting individual exercises right. Pistols are a pain too but the difficulty there is mainly balance / technique while muscleups are more brute force / technique things.

I'm getting my wife pissed at me, as I'm getting better at these exercises & finally getting built the way I used to be. Right now it's calisthenics + dumbbells. After I get a little more muscled up, it's gonna be more cardio based. I can't jog too much, the foot won't let me.

As for the IronMan comp - kick some azz bro!!!

My eye doctor completed the IronMan here in St George Utah in 2011. Though he didn't do it fast enough to go to Hawaii. He's a freak though. lol

So she's mad that you're getting in shape? I would have thought that she'd like it....lol

I guess you don't understand the psychology of the woman,...especially the wife. They think you get in shape to cheat OR to leave, I got asked already about the latter,...I just don't like being in shit physical condition.

Besides, my wife hates muscle-heads. I'm getting muscular,...she dislikes big-muscled guys. But, no steroids,...so the "package" doesn't shrink. That she likes,...

Those are still great times. I don't mind if it takes me a week as long as I finish lol.

Sideways, considering the workouts you do, I personally don't expect you to NOT be able to complete the Ironman competition in good time. Your actually an inspiration to me - and WalkGood as well.

Cheers man! I still have a ways to go on the endurance front before I can hope to make the attempt. I might also need to upgrade my equipment somewhat and test out strategy on shorter distances. An event like that requires careful planning of food and liquids intake. Do it wrong and you crash just because you failed to time it right.

Today I'll do either
Quote:
"Nasty Girls"
3 rounds for time of:
50 Squats
7 Muscle-ups
135 pound Hang power cleans, 10 reps
or
Quote:
For time:
70 Burpees
60 Sit-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, 1.5 poods
40 Pull-ups
30 Handstand push-ups
Or both depending on how energetic I am feeling.

I passed by a local workout area not too far from my job yesterday. The city renovated the track & installed a calisthenics workout area in Forest Park - Victory Field. I just located an after work exercise location. It's fantastic,...but I'll be using it sparingly until school resumes in Sept. I can't ignore my little one,...but he DOES go with the grand parents on vacation next month.

Still, I luv wonderful accidents, and I went by the park by accident.
