I have scoured the net for answers to the dead touch screen issue. I have updated to 2.22, 6.D, hard reset; nothing has corrected. My problem is I have less than 5 hours use on the darn thing. After I bought it, I got terribly ill and never used it (over 2 years). I am better now so thought I would get it out and update music. Imagine my disgust to discover this new mp3 player that was in a soft case in regulated temperature in a closet is now crap. I emailed support and they sent me to repair, which I understand is nothing more than a scam (from many boards). I have found a place that has several parts available on special order, but was hoping someone might know the part number(s) that I need to fix this. Special order is much more than the cost of the item, so if someone has new info and would post it, it would be greatly appreciated.
I was also surprised that there was no uprising about this failure. They must have sold many millions yet no one has raised a stink. |

Hi, i am owner of dead-screen P3, well partially dead because left side still works, right is not responsive, touch pad still works. I've tired changing firmware from the oldest to the newest but it seems like it doesn't wanna change, everything is the same like the time it stop working.
So it turns out that it's the most expensive pendrive I've had, but it was also inspiring experience. I've realized that touch screen DAP's are c**p in terms of durability/lengh of working and usability. |
