At this rate, they'll be discontinued before they're available for sale up there.

On the plus side, you should be able to pick them up at Clearance pricing!

I just use it for the music. The Clip+ gets the job done and for $10 less. While I have tried both, it probably boils down to the fact that I actually own the clip+. People tend to favor things they own over the things they don't.

I hope you're right because new Clip+ players aren't at clearance pricing at the moment. 4GB Clip+ is $50 at Future Shop. Your choice of blue, black, red.

I think my wife bought the 4GB Clip Zip at BestBuy USA for $35 on Black Friday weekend.

Clip Zip for the micro USB cable. I can charge it with the same charger as my phone and Kindle. I had to overpay to buy it from Sandisk Canada, but the sharing the same cable was worth it for some extended ultralight travel in the near future.

As a mp3 player both are excellent, but for me, the CZ with Rockbox wins for 2 reasons:
- FM has much improved reception and better audio response in the lower spectrum
- The color display turns Rockbox Wps & plugins into a real treat !

You can get a mini-micro adapter on Ebay for ~$1; so you can still use your mini usb cable for the CZ.

I like them equally. I think Zip Clip looks fancier, but Clip+ does the job. I use Zip at home and in my car and Clip+ for gym and outdoors.

Went Zip as we have two. Love it, was going to get a clip+ but wanted Album art. Zip came along Perfect!!

The only problem I have with the Clip Zip is it's so small. When not using it I plug it into my Grados so I don't misplace it. I originally had the black Zip, every time I dropped it it seemed to disappear. Granted I don't light up my house, but come on. After that went through my washer and dryer and almost revived but just didn't, I got a grey one. Easier to find but still small. I'd like a Clip Zip the size of my old Creative Zen (RIP). I still think the Zen was the absolutely best size. About as big as a credit card and thin enough for pockets. I'm still waiting for the Fuze + replacement. If it gets a decent UI, I'm grabbing one.

Let me provide some additional info.
I have both a Clip+ and ClipZip and I made comparative subjective listening tests at same vol, sound settings etc for both flac audio files and the FM radio, using my old Sony MDR CD10 headset. I made an a/b switch setup, so I could quickly switch the headset between the two players, while playing the same flac files on each player or with the FM radio tuned to the same station.

To my ears the results were:
1. Flac files - No discernible difference between Clip+ or ClipZip could be heard. Clearly the audio amp characteristics are the same.

2. FM radio - ClipZip has a fuller sound than the Clip+ at the lower end of the freq spectrum. This is not due to the audio amp, but suggests the CZ tuner provides a wider freq response than the Clip+ tuner.
