![]() Well this is rather interesting. News has reached us that RIM has discontinued the 16GB variety of its PlayBook tablet. It is not issuing a recall, as HP chose to do with the Touch Pad, so you can still pick one up if you so desire. The following statement was given to Engadget by RIM: Quote:

They were making new playbooks? I thought they were selling off the ones that didn't sell at $400 + dollars.

They don't need to make anymore because there are huge, massive reservoirs of unsold 16Gb Playbooks.

I still see places selling playbooks at the original prices, as if they neer heard of the price cut.
Yeah, spending $900 for the 64 GB model at one place, while another has them for $400. I wonder how well that's been working for those stores.
