Default Sony NWZ-S739 vs Sony NWZ-S755?!

Hi All,

I am currently a proud owner of a Sony NWZ-S739 (first model with noise-cancelling function) and am considering to upgrade to a Sony NWZ-S755 (last model with a noise cancelling function) but is it worth it? Both are 16gb so space is totally the same. However did anyone ever do a comparison in terms of sound quality? I have tried the latest S series (which are without the noise-cancelling function, TO MY HORROR) and personally it was as horrible as can be!

All comments greatly appreciated! Thank you!

All Sony players pretty much sound the same. And none of us here use the included iems, so the the noise canceling feature is a waste.

I'm just the kind of buyer that would like to have the best package there is, meaning that I don't want to get separate earphones if I buy an mp3 player and Sony is very reliable in providing this kind of package. I know that some have their desired earphones separately but this is a matter of preference.

All round, the included items for the S series (with noise cancelling function) was of top quality, in terms of sound reproduction so it fits MY bill

FYI, not all Sony players sound the same. I bought an mp3 player from Sony years ago, the all curvy NWA-3000. This was Sony's flagship model back then but this was way before Sony's noise cancelling era. Amazingly, the sound quality is even BETTER than the ones that they produce now (exluding some S series).

It seems that Sony likes to produce good things only once in a while lol!

BTW, I am NOT a Sony freak.

I was and still am an AIWA (Japan) freak! LMAO! Even Sony can't match their high end all metal cassette players and discman. Was really devasted by their untimely death back in 2001.

I can only imagine if AIWA is still strong and alive now and making high end all metal mp3 players.

Hope Springs Eternal. ROFL LMAO!

All the NEWER and readily AVAILABLE players sound pretty much the same. Your mentioning something that most others here have most lokely never even heard of.

And, I'm also a Samsung, AIWA, and JVC lover - but only Samsung puts out mp3 players - and I'm not too fond of their Android offerings. But, the Sony Z and A series sound EXCELLENT!!!

But, as with Sony & Samsung, the supplied iem's are only decent. They break easily, and the sq is a step up from Apple iBuds.

I liked the included IEMs from my S639 Sony fairly well. They're the best included buds I have. Considering what you usually get as included buds that's not saying much though.

I don't use them much because of the idiot "J" yoke won't let me use them over ears comfortably. When I do break them out I just add a bump or two of ClearBass to compensate for them being bass light and they sound decent.

Pretty much anything you buy will be garbage then. I guess just pick whatever looks least bad to you.
