It sux, I had it and sent it back to Amazon. The SQ is crystal clear (with my non-overly sensitive cans), and it's a great form factor with wonderful controls. The problem seems to be reliability & quality control. The volume controls produce static at times, the volume fluctuates. Others have had issues with this rebranded device - pass on it. I now own the FiiO E11,...no complaints.

Interesting to note, you think they're using inferior product/parts for rebrands or you just got a lemon? Did you ask for a replacement first to test out if you just had a bad one? I kind of doubt they use anything different, probably just make large runs of OEMs for other companies with their logo when they're interested in a large amount of product to resell.

I got a bad one, same as someone else. I wasn't allowed to get a replacement, only a refund, through Amazon. And I'm not sure if it's just a few isolated devices, or a shiitload! IMO, it's a possibility that it's just something that occurs with one of these particular models once in a while. But, considering the fact I'm not the only bad review on Amazon, the odds are too negative to chance it.

Does an un-rebranded FiiO E7 have a warranty on it? I don't think so,...Pyle didn't provide a warranty. I'd have a replacement in my hands if they did. Amazon gave me a refund, but after 30 days I'd be on my own. Would someone like to take a chance? Up to them if they do,...my FiiO E11 is more reliable. IMO, YMMV.

Quoted from their website Warranty Policies page:

All Pyle products are carefully constructed and thoroughly tested before shipment. Products purchased in the USA are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty is limited to the original retail purchaser.

Edit: Now I'm not saying you should have kept it, just showing you that they do have a warranty.

Well, I guess Amazon has a different policy,...and there was no info that came with my amp. I stand corrected,...but for the low price I paid it isn't worth it to pay to ship it back and get a new one. Not for me,...others may see differently.

Amazon's policies are great and I always take advantage of them. But they do not always relay a product's warranty so if there is something that you like and are not sure it's best to check the manufacturers website (in this case they are not be the manufacturer but the company selling). Only stating this because there are some items that I've bought from them and I had to go to the manufacturer for service/replacement.

Amazon ONLY gives a refund on this amp, and the return S&H is YOUR responsibility. The warranty proves kinda useless,...
