buy new mp3 player or usb dac ?

these are my needs
i already have portable media player , transcend mp860 and nice denon headphones.
those two things complete my needs in aspect of portability
i often listen music at home and i use transcend player for it.
now i am thinking to buy sansa clip plus because of its quality but i also think about buying usb dac for about 100euro for home use
i am curious about quality of sansa clip dac.
can it compare to dedicate source like usb dac, or to be precise which thing gives better sound, sansa clip plus or usb dac for about 100euro ?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that just an FM-tuner? What does that have to do with the title? How can you compare an FM-tuner to a portable DAP?

This whole thread is a very difficult comparison to me. Do you want a pick-up truck (the USB DAC) or a Mini (the Clip)? Now you've added an SUV (the FM tuner thing) to the mix. Actually that's a lousy analogy, but the best I can do right now.

IMO, but the Clip. You can play it through your computer, your stereo, maybe even your TV. And it is a great little portable player, that probably sounds better than your Transcend player.

I don't know how good the sound quality is on the Transcend MP860, but I don't think that Transcend is considered one of the top players.

So get a Sansa Clip+ or Zip. They're inexpensive. After all, everybody should own at least one Sansa Clip family player.
