Regarding my own rooted Z, well, a while ago firmware v1.2 was released and I wasn't able to update it. Thinking it was because of the rooting, I sorta coaxed my local Sony Style to give me a new Z. I did not root this new one. I am glad, though, as the first Z had one stuck pixel and five or six specks of dust under the glass. The new one has a perfect screen.

I don't think there are currently any ROMs for the Z. It's just not a popular device. Maybe other ROMs will run. I never did try.
