R1 black screen white band across middle

Hi - apologies for asking for help on a first post, but my 16gb R1 running 3.07 started looping through the "... firmware" message and now only shows the black screen with white band when powered up. PC will not recognise it even from empty battery.

I fear this means it needs the 'Recovery Tool' to do anything - but does anyone have any other suggestions.

Anyways yes you can't do anything as you did not install modded fw 4.00.
You have to send it back to the service center sorry...
