Default Vision M sound issue.

Hi all,

I've had a vision M for a number of years but not used for about 3-4 years or so, now I want to start using it again, i charged it and it all worked but the sound quality now sounds like it's playing under water, it's all over the place, any ideas, I've tried a reset but nothing.

Sounds like it's time for a new player.

Did you try a different pair of phones with the player?

Yes I have, oddly enough it works ok with the AV thing plugged in, so must be the jack?

Seems likely. That "underwater" effect usually happens when both the left and right audio channel get mixed together, creating phase cancellations. You could try to crack the ZVM open and resolder or replace the jack, if you have the tools/skills.

This link might help in opening it. And this link has the jack for $15.00 along with other parts for sale.
