Line-in recording doesn't work

I think the title is pretty explicit: the line-in recording doesn't work on my J3! (Well, just another thing that seems to not work).

I've got an audio source, I've got a miniJack/miniJack cable, I've got the J3 recorder set on "line-in", and I hear nothing whan I play the recording.

I have the V2.26 Firmware.

You need Cowon's line-in adapter cable. Might be useful to read the manual before trying these things.

Uuh... yeah, sometimes I just can't help being stupid. I don't even know why I thought I could use the headphones output as a line-in.
