Smile Samsung R1 kernel

Could I have kernel specially modified for that processor? (Samsung R1) because I want to install Ubuntu ... Thanks, sorry for my bad English .. I'm Italian

Hey!
I'll write in English, if you want more explanations in Italian just pm me..
Anyway!
Your goal is far to be possible: first of all it is not a suitable (pretty old moreover) kernel to run such a complex operating system. Secondly, there are no common drivers (standard way to use them) -> see the keypad or touchpad. Samsung implemented it's own modules without following standard interfaces at all.
Source are present both for kernel and some drivers indeed, but after all having such a big thing on a player, well....

=> This player has already a linux kernel inside, but you will never see ubuntu running I'm not saying it is impossible, but as you asked this for you is far too complicated for sure

Of course you must take in account also the small amount of ram memory (64 mb) and cpu frequency of 532 mhz!
For sure ubuntu isn't suitable, perhaps some lighter enviroments like LXDE or FCE or such, but again, no
