Help: J3 + 32gb SDHC + Rhapsody = Gapped playback

Guys,

I've profited from your guy's advice for a long time. Thanks for being a great community.

I have a Cowon J3 ver. 2.26 with a 32 gb SDHC Class 10 card. I use rhapsody music with the windows DRM. Until recently I've had no issues with gapped playback. However, when I put the card into the player, the playback is gapped by just over a second. So frustrating!

Situations when playback is not gapped:

1. When the card is removed and playing Rhapsody music DRM .wma and/or FLAC (no DRM).
2. When playing FLAC audio (no DRM) on either the 32 gb card or internal memory.

Situations when playback is gapped:

1. When playing Rhapsody DRM .wma music from internal memory when the 32 gb card is inserted.
2. When playing Rhapsody DRM .wma music from 32 gb card.

I have tried the following to resolve the issue:

1. I have formatted both the internal and external memory with the SD formatter software.
2. I have tried deleting Rhapsody DRM .wma music and redownloading it to the J3.
3. I have tried updating the licenses.
4. I have tried rebuilding the database from System properties on J3.

The problem seems evident: The Cowon J3 slows down when working with .wma DRM music and a 32 gb expansion card is present.


I have not tried another expansion card yet, and I will very soon.



Besides cracking the DRM and removing it or avoiding DRM music altogether, what are my options? Thank you for reading this lengthy post.
