I have been using an 120 GB ipod classic for a couple of months now and I have come to liking the headphone button control that I have on my Ultimate ears 600vi and Sennheiser MM-60. So my question is would it be easy to replace the female connectors in the Fiio m6 with female connectors that are made for the 4 pole plugs. I think that if I just connect the pin that is used for the mic to the other female connector with a wire then I could still control the ipod.
Has anybody tried this? Side note: The reason I want to use the amp is to lower the volume a little since the ipod classic a minimum volume is still a little to loud for my 600vi. I could just make an adapter with a couple of resistors but I kinda want to spend a little and try out an amp for the first time. Thanks

My guess is that's impossible to find 3.5mm female jack part to fit the fiio amp.

I thought that would be the case. Maybe I could try and solder these on but I haven't seen the inside of a Fiio m6 anywhere on the web.
