heya,
Im looking for a new in-ear headphoes as my left side of my beats tour headphones is not making any sound for some reason. i really like those phones it has great bass and clearity, plus the non-tangling wire is cool. (ive got mine a year and an half ago) Im looking for an In ear headpones budget is around 150$(which is how much new tour headphones sells at) im listening to metal so a good bass is important. i've thougt about sennheiser ie 6 but they cost more then the tour and a year ago i've tried them with my cowon j3 and i did not get the impression they are as good as my beats tour

Hmm, I'm wondering if this post might be a provocation since I can't imagine how someone would prefer the bloated, muddy sound of the Beats Tour over the generally excellent and clear Sennheiser IE6?
Anyway, I would recommend for you to check out the JAYS a-JAYS Four. They cost much less than the Beats and offer pretty much exactly all the same features, with a slightly clearer sound to boot. Can't go wrong with them. They look pretty spiffy too. |

If you listen to metal, none of the Beats are good choices. They're "tuned" for rap and hip-hop. They don't have the soundstage that you want for metal.

Otherwise, go for JVC HA-FX1X (Extreme Explosives series). Same signature as Beats Tour but for only 30$.

There is nothing special about a set that makes them for an ipad. Its marketing. And just because you have $150 doesn't mean you need to spend it all. These days there is a steep drop off in diminishing retrns after $80 IMHO.

I think what he meant was that his jays had a microphone. That last part was interesting, though.

Yeah, but the Michael wouldn't make it incompatible with anything else. That was my point.

I think you should consider getting a pair of headphones. Like the Sennheiser HD 280 pros.

For $150, you can get the Triple.fi 10. Sometimes, the TF10 goes on sale for $100.

That's interesting... I've heard that those Klipsch aren't too spectacular and never heard of the Yamaha before.

Since you like the Beats (which is made by Monster), the Monster Turbine is probably a good option for you and the Turbine is even better than the Tour. The Turbine is better than the S4 also.
