Default Chinese Company to Buy Stax Headphones
Not that I care one way or another but thought to post as something interesting in our "headphone" forum. I read on headfi here that Chinese Company Edifier Technology is buying Stax from Japan. Since I didn’t read any verification on the headfi post or Edifier’s News & Press releases, I found that TMC News wrote about it here and yes TMC News verified it here but I don’t read Chinese ideographic language. I have tried the electrostatic SR-007MK2 which if IIRC I enjoyed and one of the older SR series but it was a while back so I would be hard pressed to comment further ...

I doubt that but if I were a Stax fan I'd be worried about cutting corners and cheaper build quality ...

well, i have the edifier c6 for my pc and i have to say for price/value there isn't anything else in this cathegory

This is curious indeed. Edifier is a pretty reasonable PC speaker / monitor company so I am wondering if they might use Stax technology to make some cheap monitoring headphones. That would be awesome.
