Default How to Build Small Interconnects

Cpt did a cool article and video on making interconnects for those short jumps between the amp and the player. The article goes over a bunch of different materials and methods with a video for the visual learners. The post features interconnects by him, DFKT and Walkgood. Def a good read, check it out.

At this short distance it doesn't make any difference what cable/wire you use, I've use silver, copper and even CAT cable, you can't tell the difference. You should use what works best for you, also you can see some other ideas and recommendations in this thread.

Great, I ordered a Digizoid Z02, and I will build a small interconnect to pair it with my Clip+. This would be much better than the stock cable.

One important thing that wasn't mentioned in this thread or in the article is the importance of having your amp and your source being held firmly together if you build a rigid interconnect. If you use rubber bands or straps, a rigid interconnect could easily stress and break both female jacks in your source and your amp.

With a rigid interconnect, i would suggest using semi-permanent double sided sticky pads, like these:
