funny enough this happens with my zune 30 too.
whenever i plug it in my car stereo it suddenly turns itself off. but unlike your zune it still works when i try to turn it on again. :P that said, it only happens when i have the volume maxed out...at 75% or so it works like a charm. no help but yeah whatever. |

Its most likely to be faulty, your player I mean.
Send a service request to the company and they'll get it back to you in approximately one to two weeks. Sorry to about your player. :[ |

I have a similar problem to this, except that my Zune will turn on if plugged into something. I am positive the battery is fully charged but any time it is unplugged it shuts right off. I never plugged it into the car stereo. Any ideas on what i should do, or should i just send it in?

A Zune rep. told me that when you charge your zune with non zune brand charger they can ruin the battery and I have had the same problem your decribing so I replaced my battery and magic! I was 20.00 from http://www.rapidrepair.com/shop/3403...ry-repair.html also way easy, I' am not a pro at all. Hope this helped!
