what do you guys mean by root folder?

i can confirm on a brand new spinn...firmware v 1.2M...that dragging the HEX file U30 (korean version firmware 2.32) to the root folder did not brick my spinn...in fact it made it 1000% better...the root folder is the main folder of your spinn...you will see all sorts of folders named flash games, text, video, music, pictures etc...that is the root folder so just drag the HEX file there and unplug it from your computer..it should *** work. it did for me an hour or so ago

could u post the hex for the 2.32 firmware. so it doesn't change the language for the american version?

noit does not change the language of the player. it just upgrades things it seems. http://nyaochi.sak.ura.ne.jp/iriverupdate/ paste that site in your browser but.... (remove the . between "sak.ura") and it will take you to a website that has all the firmware versions...just look for SPINN v 2.32. it is worth it in my opinion

I did it too... divx playback is much smoother, the whole thing is 10X faster, and the language is still the same

I downloaded the file of 2.32 firmware, but how install it on the spinn ?

you have to put the file in the spinn folder, and once you disconnect your spinn from your computer, it should update by itself.

I just did this and nothing happend when i disconnected spinn... yes it Was a root folder... i have 2.10 firmware... what i did wrong?

Ok i have to reneame the file from U30 spinn.HEX to U30.HEX and it goes ok ;]

omege , it works incredibly well! the volume goues like 200% up , i think they increased the output wattage. the menu moves very fast! 2.32 rullz!
