Podcasts from iTunes

My new Clip Zip arrived today. A few days ago I joined iTunes and downloaded some podcasts. Now I want to transfer them to my Clip Zip but I can't figure out how to do it. I tried searching the forum but couldn't find the answer.

Sorry if this seems like a simple question but I'm a complete novice in this area.

Find the directory on your hard drive where they were saved, and drag and drop them into the Zip's podcast folder.

iTunes stores the podcasts in a "library" and doesn't download them to the computer (at least I haven't figured out how to do it yet).

They are on your computer. Look on your hard drive, the podcast folder should be a subdirectory of the iTunes media folder.

Get away from iTunes and use another music manager that works with other players. I use MediaMonkey. You should be able to export your subscriptions fom iTunes and import them into MedeiaMonkey and use it to download podcasts. I add new episodes to a playlist and sync that with my clip+

If you are using Windows Media Player, you can have the player "watch" the iTunes Podcast folder for new 'casts, adding them for transfer to your device. As you have discovered, iTunes doesn't sync directly with anything but an iPod. There are quite a few podcasts only available through iTunes, so it's a necessary evil, I guess.

if all you care about is podcasts gpodder is a great app. can upload your subscription to the cloud and works great with my clip+.
