s9 FREEZING PROBLEM

. Whenever i click on the artist or album tab my s9 freezes and i would have to reset it. Green arrow also appears on top left. When i click video it lists like 20 LIBRARY tabs and then when i click library screen turns green halfway and starts flashes and then freezes like that... Really weird.. Its been working perfectly fine then all of a sudden it froze and when i reset it , this started happening.

Anyone know how to fix it? When i use monkeymedia it recognizes everything. Problem is it keeps freezing when i click artist tab

I do not understand over half of what you said maybe somebody esle does but I don't so I will pick apart your post to save all of this rewrite it straight and to the point in a manner of what you do first and then what you do next. Example. Turn on<Hit Browser<Folders<<Music<Pink Flloyd<Paticular Albums,Mixes,Whatever<Song Name<Then the music screen pops up and music plays.

Also when you say Artist, Album tag you do mean inside the browser correct?

Also when you click Video - again I'm guessing inside browser sense you keep mentioning library - your movies pop up then you click the library screen?<< (CONFUSED)

I would guess there's some messup with non-standard tags, or some broken tag-writing software, when the tag browsing stuff doesn't work. This usually doesn't happen often with newer Cowons, and it never happened to me, so I can't really give first hand advice. But you should probably remove all tracks from the player, tag them properly on your PC (with MP3Tag, Tag&Rename, or other reliable apps), then move them over again.

When tagging, do it on PC , not directly on Cowon memory. Then copy to the Cowon. It is hint - dfkt knows what is writting...Are you using UCI ? Remove ... Install latest firmware and try again. (claw uci - latest beta, mess my albums art sfor example)

I found out the firmware crashed because I connected it to my Mac.. I realized this was the case because it crashed the 2nd time i connected to my Mac os x 10.6.7. Just got a new mac book.. Been using my XP windows but i want to be able to charge on my mac when i travel etc..
I was using the latest firmware too for the s9.. I talked to the jet audio customer service person and he said some people have crashing firmware when connecting to Mac and there is nothing to do. Is there really nothing I can do?
