Good luck Dave, hope the new job works out for you. Let us know soon if you'll be working on something to compete with the Ipod Touch. I was hoping the Zune HD would be updated witlh camera and such.

Well I guess we'll be waiting to see if Nokia decides to release a dedicated PMP to replace the Zune. Almost bought a Zune HD myself, got the clip+ instead and wanted to wait and see what happens with Zune HD. I guess there's still a chance it may get updated to something that can compete with the latest Ipod Touch, but it looks highly unlikely. Am considering the Touch in place of a smart phone, will wait to see reviews of the new Sony.

Oh, sad and happy news at the same time! Sad that you are leaving MS and we are loosing a valuable insight into MS and with Zune HD information. You are irreplaceable, what will we do now? And happy that you are breaking out on your own with your own venture. As everyone above me has already said, we wholeheartedly wish you the very best with it.

Well, I haven't been here long or in many conversations with you myself, but you clued me in to the Beta program and got me early access to the last HUGE batch of apps...and for that alone I thank you.

But, more importantly, for a hug faceless multi-billion dollar multi-national conglomerate, you brought a personal touch and interaction that companies 1/1,000,000th the size of Microsoft don't even offer. You had a true love for the product that you shared with the people who invested in this "niche" product.

It was greatly appreciated by everybody here and I hope you bring the same passion to your new endeavor...I know I'm going to be checking it out just based on your interaction and accessibility and wish you nothing but the best.

If the last huge batch of Apps was your going away present, nobody here could have asked for anything more.

Actually quite a few of us did ask for more, but Dave did as much as he was legally able to, and that all that we should have asked. Thanks Dave, I've never met such a helpful company rep.
