That’s what I believe, not sure if you remember some very old threads in the e200 forums, but I'm sure you remember how many headphone jack problems they gave. That’s where I first read about the foil trick (years ago), there were abi members doing that and recommending it in the forums. Not something I ever tried or would recommend, personally I would only recommend opening it up and trying to resolder jack back or soldering in a bypass female jack. Naturally if the culprit is the male 3.5mm jack I would just replace it with a new Neutrik plug.
