Hi,

New user here. Im about to pick up my first Clip+.
I noticed there was a CD added to the package but my main laptop currently doesn't have a cd/dvd drive in it..
I don't really know what's on the CD but can I avoid any problems by just downloading the firmware here or installing rockbox from the start?

nfm:

You realy should start a new thread rather than tagging on to a barely related thread.

However, the CD is not needed for your player. It probably just contains Rhapsody.

You can d/l updated frmware following the instructions here, or you can jump to Rockbox. Should be no major problems whatever you choose.

BTW, what firmware is currently on the player.

I just got the Brand New sansa Clip Zip!
Would anyone of you know if there is already a Firmware for that one to remove the radio?
If not do you know of an eta?

Go into Settings-->System settings-->Customize-->scroll down to Radio and press center button to turn off Radio.

Thanks for the reply.
This indeed works, but isnt there any way to hide it it shouldn't be so easy to show it? Something like the clppg.bin?
I got the Zip firmware (clpza.bin) I tried all the letters like G-S-P none of them seem to remove it , the only thing it happens is it removes the Radio options in settings, but the radio is still there.
Any help is highly appreciated!
