Hello,
I'd like to know which sansa player (I think fuze or fuze+) if its possible : - manage playlist (like add track on a playlist, on the fly... better if the playlist are m3u); - play all tracks with random mode and, if I don't like a song, delete it on the fly from the device; Also, is the Sansa audio quality comparable to the Sony Walkma series in your opinion? (which I really like as quality). Thanks

There is really no chance of bricking, the firmware is supereasy and simple to change because Rockbox installs with its on utility, just press the complete install button and thats it,its already installed,it doesn't get anymore simpler than that.

Please be careful about categorical statements like this. The last time I checked, the Rockbox site still has a warning that flashing the Clips can cause bricking slight though the possibility might be. Also, my understanding is that certain of the original V2 Clips can be bricked, given their architecture. I would just hate to see someone ending up with a bricked player when it is their one and only.

The on-the-go playlist cannot, if I am not mistaken, be imported. If you research what Rockbox can do with playlists on the Fuze and what SanDisk’s firmware can do with playlists on the Fuze, I think you will very quickly realize that the original firmware’s handling of playlists is extremely limited. And yes, you can also play all tracks randomly with the original firmware. But, again, this is limited compared to Rockbox, because the original firmware’s random algorithm is bad compared to Rockbox’s random algorithm: it is not that random. I know, because I have used them both. You can also do a search and find confirmation from other users. So the short answer is, if I am not mistaken, there are no SanDisk MP3 players with all the features that you are looking for—only with Rockbox. Sorry if I did not make this clear earlier, but I did not want to do all this typing. Quote:

Thanks for the clear explanation. Now, avoiding the fact of manage playlists except with RockBox, is there on the Fuze (or Fuze+) the ability to phisically delete a song directly from the device? (without using the computer)
This is more important for me now... if it's avaiable, I think I'll purchase one of these players... |

Awesome! So I think I'll purchase this player... Dunno if Fuze (max 8 gb but with buttons) or Fuze+ (16gb, but touch)....
Which MicroSDHC do you suggest? Brand or model... or it doesnt make any differences? Last edited by djfonplaz; 08-30-2011 at 07:19 AM. |

@Enigmatic : oh I forgot. Is it possible to play all tracks on the player in random mode? (in fact you didnt reply to this question
) And can I play tracks as "folder mode"?

With easy to handle dynamic driver IEMs and phones they sound the same. With multi-armature IEMs the AMS Sansas beat the flawed Sony players by so much, it isn't even funny. AMS Sansas have almost no output impedance, while Sony players have extremely high output impedance (close to 30 Ohm), which makes them practically unusable with multi-armature IEMs.

I also see that Fuze+ have a bad touchpad. I think Fuze is my choose... is bad that 8gb max! But with microSd would be nice. So another question : is it expandible to microsdhc 32gb or just up to 8gb
?Also I think I can't buy it on official website (on italy)... Last edited by djfonplaz; 08-30-2011 at 04:04 PM. |
