gapless playback on cowon j3 does not work but an jetaudio

hey guys

im facing a problem here that is simply unsolveable so far. as the title says my cowon j3 that i purchased like one week ago does not support the gapless playback. i thought there is a setting but there is non so i googled the issue and some (rare) people said it might have something to do with the encoding but that does not really make sense to me because i have the jetaudio software on my pc and that supports gapless playback just fine with my mp3s and flac and from what i know flacs generally support gapless no matter what kind of encoding is going on. the j3 is patched to 2.26. my question is: is there a problem with the hardware or is it a software or could it infact be a encoding issue (wich does not make sense really because i have a lot of very knew tracks with the latest encoding)

i know it does not make sense but could it help when i transfer my entire music to the player vie jetaudio?

ps: the last time i opened a threat i had severe issues when it came to relogging so dont wonder if i cant answer fast enough

little update: so i transferrd some files (5 flacs 1 mp3) with jetaudio because the software does not struggle with gapless playback but it did not help so it looks a lot like a hardware error, though the player works really perfect i noticed nothing odd...
