Default Channel imbalance - covered by warranty?

I have a pair Audéo PFE, they are one year old and I really love them, cured my from any upgraditis. The only drawback is that they now have developed some channel imbalance (not due to the filters, it's the same without them). It's no problem at all with rockbox since I can adjust for it, but I can't stand to listem with them anymore without such adjustment. Does someone know how large the imbalance has to be to be convered by warranty? With mine it's about 10%.

I would think any imbalance is covered if you are still under warranty. That said, I have read about some that felt the same way and they corrected it by performing a deep cleaning, I'd check that just in case.

After that if it still happens, have someone else try them to see if they notice the same thing, just to make sure it's faulty. If it indeed is, then your best option is to contact Phonak about that matter and see what they tell, but as WalkGood said it should be covered.

Thanks for the hints! My other headphones are not affected so I guess it's not me but the PFE. But a cleaning isn't a bad idea, maybe I'd gain some db, distortion free =)
